If interested in our Introduction to Japanese Swordsmanship classes or the traditional Japanese martial and cultural arts that we practice within a relaxed group setting, consider joining our public class at the Spartan Recreation Center in Shoreline, WA. Instructor permission is required for Advanced Class registration. Iaido Definition Iaido is the contemporary Japanese art of drawing the long sword. Swords are cool! Our instructor has over 40 years of experience and is a 2009 inductee of the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame. It’s fun, enlightening, and may change your life! Please wear long sweat pants, volleyball knee pads, and a t-shirt training swords and other necessary gear will be provided. Due to the nature of our training, our minimum age to participate is 15.
